THE CHALLENGERS:
WESTERN® ULTRAFINISH™ vs. Brand "B"
THE TEST:
ULTRAFINISH™ and Brand "B" were first scribed
with an "X," exposing bare metal. They then faced 1,600 hours of exposure,
based on hours in the Singleton Corrosion Test Chamber's salt fog solution
using ASTM B117 standard. Afterwards, the challengers were rated based
on the amount of coating creep from the original scribe. Blistering
degraded the rating.
